Our Story

Veza = “Connection” in Croatian

(“Veza” like the first half of mezzanine—that in-between floor that connects your today and your tomorrow).

Veza Global has over 15 years of international IDEA-B leadership experience and came together through our passion for creating equitable opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds to impact their organizations. Our CEO Manpreet Dhillon, ranked #15 globally on the 2020 EmPower Ethnic Minority Future Leaders list, started Veza Global to create authentic, human-centered consulting services and leadership training through a lens of equity for race, culture, gender, and diverse abilities.

A select few of our past clients include the HR Tech Group, Immigrant Employer’s Council of BC (IEC-BC), UN Women, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and Terramera. We have recently launched the HR Tech Group Diversity and Inclusion Hub that can be found here.

Manpreet Dhillon (she/her)

Manpreet Dhillon (she/her)

Founder/Principal Inclusion Officer

Manpreet Dhillon is the Founder and Principal Inclusion Officer, Veza Global. With over 15 years experience in equity, diversity and inclusion, Manpreet started Veza in 2017. Manpreet is also a leadership coach for women with culturally diverse backgrounds. Manpreet has over 20 years of leadership, coaching, human resources, change management, internal audits and community development expertise. She focuses on creating systemic change to address institutionalized inequalities through representation from the communities being served. Manpreet had ranked #15 globally on the 2020 EmPower Ethnic Minority Future Leaders list. 

Manpreet received her Masters in Organizational Management as is a Certified Human Resources Professional, Certified in Gender Mainstreaming and Certified Internal Auditor  and is a settler, born in Canada with parents from India, living with invisible disease and advocating for others who live with it too.  She is a contributing author to Chicken Soup for the Soul, and a contributing author to Forbes, Thrive Global, and CHRP People Talk.

Ishu Kler (she/her)

Ishu Kler (she/her)

Social Media Manager/Photographer

Ishu Kler is a photographer and Social Media Manager at Veza Global. She currently owns and operates a freelance photography company called Ishu Kler Creative where she specializes in branding, portrait and event photography. Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., her love and passion for photography led Ishu to travel and live in New Delhi, India, where she obtained her Diploma in Photography. She also travelled to Costa Rica in 2015, where she obtained her Certificate in Documentary Photography from Photographers Without Borders.

“My love for stories came from my love of travelling to new places, learning new things and hearing of all the experiences people across the world have had and live. Diversity and inclusion has always been something I have been passionate about, and through my work at Veza I have been able to learn so much about the power that inclusion and belonging have. As a photographer, one of the most rewarding experiences I have is being able to bring out the inner-confidence of my clients. It’s more than taking a photo, it’s listening and working through self-doubt, confidence and my client’s past experiences in their lives. Diversity and inclusion is so important in my work, and I want for people to be able to know that the sky is the limit, regardless of what background they come with.”

Jaspreet Kular

Jaspreet Kular

IDEA+B Consultant/Researcher

Jaspreet has a strong diverse background in Human Resources and Internationalisation. She brings experience from a variety of industries such as Education, Legal, and Manufacturing, and understands the barriers to inclusion and belonging across the sectors. She has built programs and compliance frameworks for inclusive hiring, non-discriminatory background checks, and employee mobility. She has also created orientations and workshops for international students to ease their transition into new academic environments. She contributes her research expertise to Veza Global as a Facilitator and Consultant and volunteers with The Educational Equality Institute in Norway as an Onboarding Class Coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, major in Political Science, from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and her Master of International Relations with a specialisation in Geopolitics and Connectivity from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Originally hailing from Vancouver, she currently calls Groningen, Netherlands home.
