Regrets? (how to move forward)

Looking back. Regrets. Moving forward.

How often are you looking back at life and thinking “what if?”
What if you had made a decision to stay?
What if you had taken the other job?
What if you hadn’t moved?
What if… {fill in the blank}?

It is one of those things that we all ponder. Would our lives really have been different if we hadn’t made that decision? Would our lives have been different if we had taken a different action? Would we be happier?

The past is the past. It has happened already. Newsflash…it doesn’t affect your present or your future. Each morning you wake up, you start with a blank slate. It is really your decision as to what you want to create each and every moment.

If you live in the past and the what if’s, you will stay stuck.

How comfortable are you being stuck? What is the pain giving you? Is it giving you a sense of peace that you survived? Is it giving you a sense of satisfaction that you are messed up as everyone else around you? Is it allowing you to fit in when other’s are complaining?

Well what if that isn’t serving you anymore? What if, you are ready to thrive and soar? You have the right to start your life over and over again each and every day. It is about taking a few moments at the end of the day to forgive for any where you have wronged someone or they have wronged you, it is about being grateful for everything you have and acknowledging how you are special and showed up by being you.

Start each morning with intentions of how you want your day. That is where the strength in spiritual practice is…starting life over, over and over again each and every day.

This ties into how you show up in every area of your life. If you show up in a place of feeling light and free, you will soar and thrive in all areas.

Are you ready to thrive and soar?

Travel, trust and faith to manifest all desires

I constantly hear “oh you travel so much” and “when are you ever in town.”

It is a choice I have made that for now my life is about balancing travel and working in my passions. For the last twelve years, I have achieved some of my greatest successes of my career while exploring different parts of the world. Some of my favorite places have been Botswana, Fiji, Singapore, Japan, actually I have pretty fond memories of most places I have been to.

Side note: over the last few trips, I have come to realize how much traveling has allowed me to fall in love in Vancouver, the place I call home right now. I love talking to people about Vancouver, the beauty, the food, and the amazing cultural awareness that is present there.

I have been fortunate that once I want something in my life truly that I will always manifest it.  I will set my intention and become detached from it.  I never know how it will happen but I know it will happen. I have come to realize that when my trust and faith waivers, is when I don’t receive what I manifested. The lesson I have learnt is when my trust and faith waivers, I must go within myself to realign with my own truth of what is best for me in the situation and that aligns me back to the trust and faith.

I always wanted a lifestyle of travel and doing what I love. On my travels, I will spend time during the day to work on what is important to me either be it writing, planning, strategizing and developing the next program. I usually implement when I am back home as each trip for me is learning process. I grow from each trip, I learn more about myself and what I want from life. When I go home to Vancouver, I always feel that I have come home unveiling new aspects of myself.

Why I am writing a post about how great traveling is and what I learn from it?

I hope that you will see that:

1. The clarity of intentions are so important. We hear this constantly, but once you put it in practice, you realize how easy it is to manifest what you really want.

2. Trust and Faith in receiving all that you want is the basis of the foundation of becoming detached to the outcome and how things happen to come into your life. It is important to know how you want to feel about an outcome so that you can fully realize the benefits of what that outcome means to you. The ‘how’ may not look the way you think it should, so allow things to happen in the way they do.

3. It is possible to have it all. Yes, you can travel and live your passions. It is all about manifesting the best situation for yourself. I became detached to the ‘how’ but I knew what I wanted for myself. I just had to remain open to having it happen.

4. For me, having different experiences and putting myself in different situations allows me to uncover new aspects of myself. I do this both at home and on vacation. How often are you trying new things or having new conversations to discover new aspects of yourself?

Intentional Goal Setting for 2014

As we set off in the new year, many of us are in the reflection mode and goal setting mode. We are looking at what our life was like and now what we want to create.

Here is a template for goal setting that I use for myself. For me, I find it really important to have a lot of feeling behind my intentions.

Goal Setting – 2014

As you are moving through this exercise think of different aspects of your life. The different aspects to think about are:

  • Career
  • Emotions
  • Relationships (Self, Romantic, Family, Friends, Work)
  • Health
  • Finances
  • Contribution

It is always good to check in to see how you are doing in each of these areas. Rate each of these areas 1-10, and see how satisfied are with them. Then start the Goal Setting exercise from this place.

Wishing you on one of the most creative, fun, abundant, loving years of your life.

If you would like to be supported while doing this goal setting exercise, please contact me for a 1/2 hour complimentary exploration call.

Ask, Release Attachment, Receive

Ask, Release Attachment, Receive

I am sitting here in my room in London and became very aware of the fact that the things that I had requested and released attachment from, I did indeed receive. Some of things I just did not want right now others I realized I needed to be more specific.

We have heard many times that the clearer we are with our intentions, the easier it is to receive what we want. I had wanted to go to Dublin and Barcelona all year. I had set an intention that I would go. I didn’t specify when or how long I would go for nor did I specify how my experience would be when I am there.

Now I had the opportunity to go but the experience of even trying to get to either place had so many obstacles and I was trying to go for a 2 day visit to both places. I realized quickly that I had not trusted in the fact that I would get to go even if it wasn’t this time. I acted hastily therefore spent money on a lesson of trust, faith and releasing attachment.

Ideally, the intention should have been set as “I set the intention to go to Dublin and Barcelona for 4 days each, whereas the experience is inexpensive, easy, smooth, in flow, fun and more than I could have asked for in the next year.” The intention that I set was “I set the intention to go to Dublin and Barcelona because I really, really want to go.” Notice how the first intention is powerful, clear and without attachment but with trust whereas the second intention is unclear and with attachment.

Even though I was given the opportunity to go to both these places, I realized that right now was not the best time. That is okay as well, sometimes when our manifestations come to us, we realize that we do not want them now or never. It is the free will we have to decide of what we want in our life.

I now have set new intentions with both of these cities, which I trust will happen. For now, it is time to enjoy London.
